Default 2 Questions

Hello,

I would like to know what exactly is a 40/40 Restoration Magic set or defensive set, and my other question is, I need some inscriptions for my Heroes, the Balthazar rewards unlockers say that if I unlock a inscription on him it unlocks for my Pvp Only characters and for my heroes, is it possible to use the incriptions on my heroes from the Balthazar rewards ? If so, how?

Thank you.

No. That part about heroes in the case of inscriptions unlocked is an old relic from times when you could use heroes in PvP. Still, all skills you unlock via Balth faction can be used by all heroes across all characters.

A wand with requirement of Restoration Magic, with two mods as follows: Halves Skill Recharge of Restoration Magic Spells (20% chance) & Halves Casting time of Restoration Magic Spells (20% chance).
+
A focus with requirement of Restoration magic, with the same two mods as above.

This can be obtained in several ways - most 40/40 sets can be crafted at Brauer Academy (or another Kurzick town in the Forest, as well as its equivalent on the Luxon side - Leviathan Pits?), modding a clean weapon (adding proper inscriptions and mods), using a green with those stats, or using a gold weapon with those stats as inherent mods. The last option is the most rare and thus the most expensive.

defensive set
Spear with +5 armor mod (or +7 vs physical/elemental damage if you wish to swap spears) + shield with additional armor mod.

If you are going to rune hero armor i would recommend the following:

1 major rune for the attribute the majority of each heroes skills on their skillbar applied to the head (15 in that attribute)

1 minor vigor rune to offset the health penalty from the major rune

1-2 attunement runes

1 minor attribute rune in primary attribute for the primary class (SR, ES, SP, FC, DF, etc.)

The minor vigor rune is obviously expensive as is the minor attribute rune in the primary class attribute for some classes (like Divine Favor, Soul Reaping, etc) but I think it pays for itself in the end (both from being able to get through things faster and, more importantly, avoiding the agita caused by having heroes dropping constantly).

and...to add something to Dar Drakor post
always try to maximize armor on heroes, use insygnias that give armor
also, use +10hp runes instead of +2 energy ones

I would also go for only +1 runes [minors, not majors], but thats your decision (better dmg or more hp)
